Privacy notice
VistaBlu Camps Bay, 17 Rontree Avenue, Camps Bay, Cape Town, respects your privacy. This notice explains what we do with the personal information you give us through this website, by email or on WhatsApp, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
When you send a booking request through the website we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, travel dates, the room or whole-property stay you chose, the number of adults and children, and your message. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive what you send there.
How we use it
We use your details only to reply to your request, confirm availability and your rate, and arrange your stay. A request is not a confirmed booking and no payment is taken on this website; availability, payment and booking conditions are confirmed separately with you. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Services that handle your details
- Booking requests are checked by this website and emailed to VistaBlu through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-to-email service.
- If a request cannot be sent automatically, you can send it yourself as a prefilled WhatsApp message; WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies to messages you send there.
- This website uses Google Analytics to understand visits in aggregate, such as page views, the buttons and links used, and general device and location information. Google Analytics uses cookies. When a request is sent it receives only the room chosen and the price shown, never your name or contact details.
- Google Maps and Booking.com are separate services with their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as we need them to handle your request and your stay, and for as long as the law requires us to keep booking and payment records.
Your rights
You may ask us which personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. Write to [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp +27 72 507 3392. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
